drinking more water is easy! keep a large jug of ice cold water beside you at all times (especially on the computer) and a cup! you'll drink it sub-consciously and refill when it's empty.

I want to lose weight by the summer. I'm about 5'8" and i weigh around 150. Over the past year i've lost around 40 pounds. I've been learning to be content with my body but i would still like to get to the healthiest and fittest weight i can. I want to look good and feel confortable in my bathingsuit by summer. What do you recommend?

Sorry for responding so late! Well first off, as usual, I recommend cardio, at least an hour a day. Also remember to eat healthy. I’ll give you some exercises toh help get you started :)

Hi girls it's admirable you are working on your fitness. If you are looking for information from pro's please check out our blog. We would never blast anyone for posting something they believe to be true, which is how we found you, your ab workout was rebloged by someone else and then ripped apart by someone flaming to be a know it all long story short there are a lot of myths and bad info out there we try to help people sift through it all. how much does water affect losing weight/getting in shape? i have a very very hard time drinking 64 oz daily what things does it affect?

drinking water is good for you, and i don’t get what you mean by what things it effects. you don’t EXACTLY have to drink 64 oz daily, here it tells you the amount of water you should drink, which is determined by your height, weight, etc.

Hiii , im 13 years old and i'm about .. hmmm 5'2 118 pounds and i really want to get to 100 . or at leaast 105 . any tips on helping me get rid of my belly fat and thigh fat ? hi there. (: first of all, i absolutely love your blog. it's gotten me into the habit of working out again && eating healthy. Do you think it is possible to become underweight in a healthy way? Cause my ideas of a healthy body is a little bit underweight. I know it sounds like a bit of a contradition of terms or whatever. I'm naturally quite skinny anyway so do you think if I eat about 1200 calories a day, work out, and dont binge or starve I can become just slightly underweight and not be too unhealthy????

Ehh, I guess.. if you cut down on calories and workout you’re obviously gunna lose weight!

Also, your weight does NOT determine whether you are healthy or not.

This isn't exactly a question, but I just way you to know since I've darted fillwing your blog I've lost quite a few pounds. Im happy with my body when I shop now :) two apples everyday and a glass of green tea as of Saturday :p thank you.

It's me again. Uhm, so I need to eat breakfast and lunch? I'll eat. But what should I eat and what exercises do I need to do? I've got all 2 months.

Eat healthy, basically fruits, vegetables, whole grains. You can eat junk food once in a while, but try not to make it a daily habit. The exercises you need to do is cardio. Go for a walk, jog, or run. You can also do cycling and swimming! and let’s be realistic here, you most likely are NOT going to lose 40 pounds in 2 months. And if you’re trying to lose weight, and workout and such, you have to know that it’s a lifestyle really. Once you stop working out and eating healthy, you can gain all the weight right back and probably even more than you weighed before.

hey :) i just wanted to say that your blog has inspired me to start woking out, i've always been like ah i'll work out soon...tomorrow... the next day and i never do, but i kept visiting your blog for tips and everything thanks:) i just wanted to ask, how does jumping jacks affect your body? is it part of cardio and what does it do for your body workouts? sorry i don't really know how to word it :$ and what is the basics excerises for losing belly fat? i know you guys have been asked this before

aw thanks:) and yes, jumping jacks are a type of cardio, it pretty much works out your whole body. You can’t target where you want to lose weight, but cardio is what helps you lose fat on your body. Cardio is pretty much like you said jumping jacks, running, jogging, cycling, swimming, squat thrusts/burpees, anything that keeps your heart rate up:)

Hi, so I really need help, I'm 13 and 5'4. I weigh 140 pounds and it sucks. I'm from the Philippines and it's already summer here. I really wanna lose weight til classes come. Classes are on June and I wanna lose 40 pounds. Is that possible? I don't eat breakfast and dinner to get slimmer but I don't do exercises. Please help me.

I’m not quite sure if it’s possible, you might not lose exactly that much, but I guarantee you will lose some weight. You NEED to eat breakfast because it helps jump start your metabolism. You also need to eat dinner, eating only lunch isn’t going to make you slimmer. It might for a bit, but you will most likely start binging and wanting more food because you’re depriving your body of food. You also need to do exercises, you can’t rely on only eating lunch to make you slim.

lol sorry for all these cardio questions but i have some stomach fat/love handles. (thats where majority of fat is a little butt and thigh) 5'4 and 135 pounds, I'm trying to get to 120 but goal weight is 115. So about how long would it take for me to lose 15-20 lbs? Do you think I'd be able to do it in summer? How much cardio should I go for a day/week?

I can’t tell you exactly how long it will take you to lose those 15-20 pounds, if you work hard enough, most likely you will be able to do it by summer. I’m not an expert on cardio, but I think about 3-5 times a week is good.

Hi. I need motivation to lose weight. Seriously. I mean, I know I'm at an average weight but I still have that chubby tummy that I don't want. I'm 13, so I'm like ADDICTED to sweets and honestly... I just ate a carton of ice cream. (butter pecan and Gelalto Chocolate Hazelnut) Well, I'm 5'2 and 120. Holy right? Any tips for motivation? Maybe something to help keep me organized?

your weight is actually healthy for your height :P You need to slowly like stop eating sweets. Like, fruits are sweet and taste delicious, so you should try switching some things with fruit :)! And for motivation, you should find someone who will help motivate you, someone who knows you well though, or you could reward yourself for a certain amount of weight you lost. Since you are addicted to sweets, reward yourself with a cookie or something, lol:)

can you give me specific things to do or eat to achieve a flat stomach, a ass and curves? cuz all the fat on my stomach seems to be on my lower abs, i have no ass, and BARELY any curves :p. what u you mean by cardio exercises? examples please? alot to ask i know :'( im soo clueless when it comes to that stuff, thanks though <3

well good thing i kept this link up, lol! this website gives you quite a few choices of food that help make you feel more full and help with belly fat. and cardio exercises are basically things that keep your heart pumping continuously. Like running, jogging, bicycling, swimming, jump roping, hula hooping, etc. but, doing cardio won’t target JUST your stomach, you most likely will lose weight in other areas BEFORE you lose weight in your stomach.

i've been known to have issues with eating disorders, weather it be not eating for days, or eating until I'm physically in pain. And i've gotten over that mostly. I just wanted to know if you know of any good foods/meals that keep you full long, are healthy, and if possible semi low cal. I'm just trying to be happy with my body and eating habits. If you could help that'd be lovely <3

uhmm, so... on sunday i did the p90x ab ribber even though im still a new comer but my legs seem to hurt a lot ! the thigh area hurts and when i walk i feel like somethings blocking me from doing so . other than the p90 i also did some rope skipping, lunges, squats, and that ab outline . im pretty lazy going outside to run, cause it is such a hassle when it is really cold outside. so are there any other cardio exercises i can do other than rope skipping ? and i've been doing the ab outline day and night and drinking a lot of water, but my stomach seems to be getting bigger .. what do i do?

it’s most likely getting bigger because you’re doing more things for your abs. you are building muscle under the fat of your stomach. you should try to put in a bit more cardio. some good cardio is riding a bike (or a stationary one), doing squat thrusts/burpees, mountain climbers, etc.

you can do it by doing cardio. well me, i go on a stationary bike for about 30 minutes. and those are pretty much the only other cardio workouts that you can do at home that i know of.

I kinda have a beer belly. Like how it's buldges out. But I don't drink beer or anything. Just an example.. But lately i've been doing situp every day, and I heard hula hooping helps your belly gets smaller. Is that true?

well it helps you lose weight, but you won’t always lose it in that specific place first!

no that just builds more muscle UNDER your stomach, i just said that probably like 10 times from previous questions. what you need to do is CARDIO. i gave some examples in other questions you can go here to find those questions. and if you can’t do those, which im sure anyone can…you can google some other cardio workouts.

i was working out and i was wondering why my leg is hurting ? its been hurting for 3 days :( am i suppose to stretch ? because after i work out i do stretch but i dont know why it hurts so much . are there any other cardio work out other than jumping rope ? like home cardio that i can do ? some odd reason, i;ve been doing ab workouts but my stomach is kinda big . and i read in one of your post that if you only work one area it just gets bigger. is that true ? what do i do ?

Being sore is actually a good thing because your muscles are tearing and if you keep working out and pushing yourself hard, it will help you become stronger and leaner. Yes, you should stretch before AND after you workout, but some people are still sore which means your workouts are working:) You can do squat thrusts/burpees, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, and you can go walking around your neighborhood. Your stomach is getting bigger because you’re abs are forming under your stomach. You need to lose the fat on your stomach to be able to see them.
