“I was raised with meat and I loved meat too. It makes you immature because you make a decision based on superficial factors. It makes you greedy because you are willing to pay for the death and suffering of a creature only for you to enjoy a meal that you don't need. To be free to make a choice, that choice needs to only affect yourself. Eating meat kills other creatures, thus it is not a choice you are free to make.”

Okay, wow. The last time I discussed this was about 2 months ago, this shouldn’t even be rekindled. Actually, if I made the choice to be a vegetarian or go vegan, it wouldn’t only affect myself. It would affect my family because we’re all omnivores and now they would have to go out of their own way to buy things for me that I could eat. & If it’s a choice I’m not free to make, then why do I have a free choice to be vegetarian? Just because it’s not killing other creatures? Not everyone can afford to be vegetarian and I’d rather not make my parents go out of their way. My eating choices have nothing to do with you and you used to be an omnivore so I’m guessing almost everyone who eats meat is officially immature and greedy. I’m not immature and those aren’t the only reasons why I choose to eat meat, it’s a personal choice so let’s leave it at that. If I was a vegetarian and you were an omnivore, I wouldn’t even be sending this message because it’s YOUR choice, NOT mines. I’m in no way greedy just because of that. Not all animals are suffered when they’re killed for meat, it all depends on the kind you buy and where you buy it from. You can eat what you want, and I’ll eat what I want.

  2. apbrkindofview said: Vegetarian here. People choose their eating habits for different reasons. There is nothing wrong w/an omni lifestyle just as there is nothing wrong with a veg one. Calling someone immature because of eating habits is ridiculous. Eat what you want! (:
  3. fitnessnovice said: That’s why I never discuss my dietary choices. I don’t see the point in shoving my choices down someone else’s throat. They’ll choose to eat what they want to regardless. Can’t force people to eat like you do!
