“I have wanted to get fit for a long time now. The only problem is that I don't want someone to make fun of me because I can't do the exercise. I also have a whole family that doesn't want to be apart of my program that I have come up with. The program involves eating better and exercising. How do I overcome my fears and motivate myself to keep up with my program? - Exercise Hungry, age 17”
Think about the reason you’re getting fit- for you, right? Then don’t worry about those other people because everyone has to start somewhere because this is for you, and the only thing you should be concerned about is yourself. You have to find your own motivation because what motivates me might not motivate you. Look around tumblr and you can find plenty of pictures that might help you get up out of bed and exercise, try and set goals and have a reward once you reach the goal, or try finding a friend since your family members don’t want to do the program and you guys could motivate each other.

Everyone starts somewhere, and everyone has exercises that they can’t do. BUT, just wait until after a few weeks of solid effort when some that seemed impossible are now closer to possible. That feeling cannot be matched. Forget the rest. Good Luck!
