this is NOT a blog about losing weight; it's about getting fit, and staying fit.™

we are two girls who just simply want to get fit. we aren't looking to lose weight, but to get in shape. we are NOT experts, so before asking a question just keep in mind that we're just two girls who rely on google to answer your questions. & yes, we are fitness buddies and we'd be glad to have more so we can all support one another.

“Hi! First off- I really like this blog, you guys are doing a great job! I am really trying to get back into exercising (I'm in college and every year it seems like I get lazier with exercising) but I am unsure of what to start with. I have tried running but I really don't like it and I get tired quickly. I don't have the best knees so running is also a challenge because of that. Do you have any recommendations for a beginner?”

I would suggest walking, beginner videos on youtube, try dancing around, get a little stool and do step-ups for about 20 minutes (it’s actually really easy, but you can get sweaty too. Plus you can read a book at the same time or watch tv!). If your college has a gym try walking on the treadmill, going on the elliptical (much better on knees), or going to a zumba class.
“is dancing a good cardio workout? I want to lose fat and i do it for about 50 minutes everyday, but i dont knoww if it's better than running, and i burn about 150 cal”

Yes, anything that gets your heart moving is a good form of cardio. Do what you find more entertaining.
“is it better to work out in themornings when you haven't eaten anything yet or at night, after you've eaten everything, or in between? or does it even matter?”

It all depends on you. Personally, I like to work out early in the morning and I don’t eat before because if I do, it makes me nauseous.
“If i want to buy a sports bra for running, does it have to be so tight around my chest that my boobs won't bounce at all?”
-Anonymous
Not necessarily, I guess, but most girls would probably feel more comfortable with a sports bra that gives as less bounce as possible lol. I’m pretty sure you can get lightly padded sports bras so there’s enough support and it doesn’t have to be skin tight on you.
