“I have wanted to get fit for a long time now. The only problem is that I don't want someone to make fun of me because I can't do the exercise. I also have a whole family that doesn't want to be apart of my program that I have come up with. The program involves eating better and exercising. How do I overcome my fears and motivate myself to keep up with my program? - Exercise Hungry, age 17”

Think about the reason you’re getting fit- for you, right? Then don’t worry about those other people because everyone has to start somewhere because this is for you, and the only thing you should be concerned about is yourself. You have to find your own motivation because what motivates me might not motivate you. Look around tumblr and you can find plenty of pictures that might help you get up out of bed and exercise, try and set goals and have a reward once you reach the goal, or try finding a friend since your family members don’t want to do the program and you guys could motivate each other.

“I'm 20, female, 100 lbs and 5'4". I want to start running to be healthy and exercise to possibly gain weight. What kind of running routine should I adopt? Is running every day for half an hour going to make me lose weight ( weight that I DON'T want to lose)?”

You should go to your local athletic store and try on different brands and see what fits your needs the best or find someone in the store to help you find a shoe that’s perfect for you. Most likely, yes, because you’re doing cardio. Try incorporating some different types of strength training into your workout.

#question
“hey, do you have any healthy lunch recipes and snacks to bring to school?”

“i do alot of cardio especially running and stair climbing but im trying to lose weight but my legs are getting so big and muscley!! im makes me so upset cause i wanna look small and my legs look huge. any tips?”
-Anonymous

That’s because you have yet to lose the weight in your legs and the muscle you’re gaining is just making them look a bit thicker. I would show you the post that says that, but I can’t find it right now. Don’t worry, anon, you have to give your body time to get rid of some of the fat in your legs. Plus, there’s nothing wrong with having muscly legs 😳!
